We’ll be playing all 3 days of this year’s Bama Jam! The fest takes place on 600 acres in Enterprise, AL. Headliners include Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Hank Williams Jr., Robert Earl Keen, Buddy Guy, and more!
We’ll be heading down there with our friends Stuckey & Murray, kicking off a 2 week tour of the South, including a little stretch of Gulf Coast known as the “Redneck Riviera.” Road trip anyone?!!!
Djs Pancho & Lefty (aka Bug and T-Bone Bernardo) will be playing vintage country tracks and screening a classic episode of HEE-HAW tomorrow night (5/10) at Nita Nita in Williamsburg. It’s Mexabilly Monday at Nita, and Sam and the gang will be serving up Tex-Mex tapas specials (like mashed sweet taters w/ chorizo), and $4 Lone Star Margaritas (trust us on this one). Sip one in the garden, if we may suggest while listening to the golden country sounds. We’ll be there from 8pm on.
This creepily endearing love letter was recently found tucked under the windshield of our vanbulance. We were flattered and just a little bit scared by it. Whoever wrote it is officially our #1 fan and first official stalker. Congratulations. Thank you in advance for not murdering us…yet.
We are honored to be a included in a new music series developed by Barking Irons, one of the most innovative clothing designers in New York. Produced in partnership with Phearcreative, the series is called The Collect, which features acoustic sets and interviews with musicians, who are first lured to the Barking Irons studio on Bowery with fine spirits and finer threads. We tried on some great BI apparel (Erin sported a prototype dress), and chewed the fat about country music, long-johns, and Hee-Haw, while somehow managing to down an entire bottle of Fernet Branca. We then played a paired down, acoustic set, with only Bug, Bru, Roadblock, and Metallbelly. The whole concept is awesome and we had a hell of a time. Other artists who participated in the series include Justin Townes Earle, Bobby Bare Jr., and more.

Below is a live video of Drive You Off recorded at The Collect launch party.
Multi thanks to Barking Irons brainchilds Michael & Daniel Casarella, and Phear’s Casey McGrath.
It’s good to see the Irish and Italians finally working together.

We are pleased to say that the Defibs are now teaming up with Charisma Artist Agencyfor all booking. We caught up with the gals in Austin and after intense negotiations over a picnic table and a few sixpacks of Shiner Bock, we decided to get into bed together and seal the deal. The truckbed, that is. We are very excited to be working with this great group of agents and joining their awesome roster.
